Arthroscopic debridement and capsular release is a minimally invasive technique typically utilized for the early to moderate stages of shoulder arthritis. This procedure removes arthritic bone and loose cartilage from the joint, as well as release tight capsular tissue to allow for improved shoulder motion. This is a good option for patients wanting to avoid or delay the need for a shoulder replacement.

LATARJET BONE GRAFT PROCEDURE
The Latarjet bone graft procedure is an innovative technique originally performed in France that is used to treat complex shoulder instability when there is bone loss to the socket or for failed previous labral repairs. This surgery is unique in that it transfers the coracoid bone and tendon to the front of the socket creating a larger surface area for the ball to rotate on. The transferred tendon also creates a “sling effect”, preventing the ball from slipping out of the joint.
