PHYSICAL THERAPY

Physical therapy is a science dedicated to the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions and injuries. Licensed physical therapists are trained to restore, maintain, and promote optimal physical conditioning in their patients. Once the injured arm has recovered, therapists teach patients home exercise programs designed to prevent the recurrence of injury. Dr. Hussey heavily utilizes therapy as a means to restore function to the injured arm and avoid the need for surgery. Physical therapy protocols are tailored to each patient’s individual injury.

PRP INJECTIONS

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is an injectable solution derived from the patient’s own blood that contains high concentrations of growth factors that aid in the body’s repair of damaged tissue.  Recent studies have shown promising results using PRP in the treatment of chronic tendon injuries, such as tennis elbow.
