LATERAL COLLATERAL LIGAMENT REPAIR

When the outer elbow ligament (lateral collateral ligament) is torn, typically from a fall onto an outstretched arm, reattachment is necessary to restore joint stability. Repair is performed utilizing very strong suture material to dock the torn ligament back to the bone. In chronically torn cases, a reconstruction using donor tissue is needed to rebuild the ligament.
